Sunday School
All children and young people up to age 20 are welcome in our Sunday School. Teaching is based on the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly which opens up the Bible’s healing message.
Christian Science Sunday School is a blessing for children and teens (and teachers too)!
We also have a Children's Room where little ones are lovingly cared for during the church services. On Sundays they participate with the opening Sunday School hymn and Lord’s Prayer according to their readiness.
Sunday School helps students learn:
■ from the Scriptures — the Commandments, the Beatitudes, the Lord’s Prayer, and its spiritual interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy, plus Bible stories and many other teachings from the Holy Bible. Teaching is based on the King James Version of the Bible, with occasional use of other translations and resources.
■ about God – how God loves and is with each one 24/7... an ever-present help in any situation.
■ how to pray in helpful ways based on the examples of Jesus and others in the Bible as well as examples from the Christian Science textbook.
■ to actually practice what they are learning, utilizing examples of healing and problem-solving from the Bible, from Science and Health, and from articles in the Christian Science periodicals.
